Neuromodulators (Botox® / Dysport®)

● Avoid alcohol, aspirin, NSAIDs, vitamin E, omega-3s for 24–48 hours if possible
● Avoid antibiotics and/or steroids 2 weeks before and after
● Avoid dental work for 2 weeks before and after
● Arrive with clean skin (no makeup on treatment areas)
● Inform provider of any neurological conditions or pregnancy

What to Expect (Normal)
● Mild redness or swelling at injection sites
● Small bumps that resolve within 30–60 minutes
● Mild headache or tight sensation
● Temporary heaviness in treated areas

● Severe headache lasting >48 hours
● Vision changes
● Drooping that worsens after 2 weeks
● Difficulty swallowing or breathing (seek urgent care)

● Remain upright for 4 hours
● Keep face clean of makeup for 24 hours
● No tight hats/bands/clothing on treated area
● Resume skincare the following day

● Do not massage or apply pressure for 4 hours
● Avoid strenuous exercise, heat, saunas, alcohol for 24 hours

● Onset: 3–7 days
● Peak: 14 days
● Longevity: 3–4 months (client depending)

● 14-day follow-up recommended if adjustments are needed

Dermal Fillers (Hyaluronic Acid)

● Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning supplements for 48 hours
● Avoid dental work for 2 weeks before and after
● Avoid antibiotics and/or steroids 2 weeks before and after
● Cold sores history? Antiviral prophylaxis may be recommended

What to Expect (Normal)
● Swelling (24–72 hours)
● Bruising
● Tenderness
● Temporary asymmetry while swelling resolves

● Increasing pain
● Bruising that is getting larger and worse past the area treated
● Skin blanching, mottling, or dusky color
● Severe swelling with pain
● Vision changes (seek emergency care)

● Apply cold compresses (10 min on/off)
● Sleep with head elevated first night
● Stay well hydrated

● Do not massage unless instructed
● Avoid exercise, alcohol, heat for 24–48 hours

● Onset: 3–7 days

Massage Protocol (Critical)

Sculptra® - 2-3-4 Rule
Begin immediately or as instructed
- 2 times daily (morning/night)
- 3 minutes a time
- 4 days
Massage with clean hands, moderate pressure, circular motions do with skin care!
(Radiesse massage only if instructed)

● Stay hydrated
● Follow massage instructions exactly

● Do not skip massage if advised
● Avoid strenuous exercise & alcohol for 24–48 hours
